Welcome

Our main goal: make your home beautiful.

Back in 2000 when I came to the US running from Colombians´ violence, I started working with a handyman who subcontracted for Cecil Hayes Designers Unlimited. That was the big entrance for me because quality and work standards became really high. Cecil Hayes worked and designed for millionaires and famous people, getting a mention at the Architectural Digest magazine, one of the top 100 of the world

Usually when we delivered the work, P.J. an artist who came from the German Royalty showed up and he was so talented that I started admiring and learning lots of things from him.

At early 2001 I had the chance to work with him and in a very short amount of time I was already doing Faux Finishing and subcontracting for Cecil Hyes. Later, despite my language barrier, I started my own company doing Faux Finishing and regular painting work, basically what I did was to develop new techniques, come up with new designs and figuring out my own tools for certain and specific task while working with Cecil.

In May 2002 my wife and I created Faux Finishes & Colors Corp. María (my wife) came from Pereira, Colombia, she used to work as a manager with great success gaining awards for goals accomplishments, at a very important bank office. One of Marias´ hobbies was wood painting, this helped us hugely because we could mix it with our home painting skills.

In 2003 I delivered a Faux Finishing example in wood to the Coral Springs and Parkland current WCI president, this was our first garage door painted as wood made in Hero Bay, it releases a chain of events where front and garage doors work where the main example of our technique.

By 2005 – 2006 we were pretty busy doing Faux Finishing and painting, later we have to face the economy and construction crisis, one of our contractors didn’t pay an important amount of money which lead us to miss the mortgage payment of our Boyton Beach house which we had worked very hard to get.

Also, I suffered an accident and I had to get surgery on my spinal column by that time we were losing the house and the cars, thankfully with a great attitude and awesome friends we started from scratch but now with a better English level, experience, and customers including Sybil Maxon Interior Designer who worked and works for Brown´s Interiors and redirect customers to me.

Working with interior designers have been an amazing experience, I´ve had the chance to learn from them, to update techniques, push our own versions and be successful using them. Today we had built an amazing reputation at Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Banton Beach, and Palm Beach Gardens, Saint Andrews, Broken Sound, Woodfield Country Club, Dakota, The Bridges, Seven Bridges, Equus, Bellen Isles, Mirasol, Mirabella community.

Changes are unstoppable, always facing big and exciting challenges that help us being positive and joy about the future.
